Arrived at Westcliffe cabin

Sunday, Sept. 6

After a completely uneventful drive (I listened to Edmund Morris, The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt on Audible the whole way),  I arrived yesterday late afternoon at my spectacular cabin near Westcliffe, CO.



I woke up insanely early this morning, so I went for a little pre-dawn walk in the moonlight. Then it was morning coffee accompanied by this decent view...



...and setting up my "office."

This bar-height table makes a good standing desk, which my back will be grateful for. I can move the whole rig outside to the deck, either with this high table, or with the folding table I brought for that purpose.

And we're off...Today will be mostly a work day. Tomorrow will be a hike + work day. Snow is in the forecast for Tuesday!
